The SQUARE-FLEX Skylight Tube has been manufactured since 1998. The tube is sold directly to consumers, with installation included, and wholesale to the trade.
Gary Weston got started in 1977 as a general contractor specializing in room additions. At one point Gary did a large addition. Upon completion of the job, the owner was very pleased with the addition but was disappointed at the loss of light in their living room caused by the addition. It was very dark. Asked for a solution, Gary suggested "have a couple of holes cut in the roof."
Skylights were installed and the improvement was significant.
During an open house to showcase the new-and-improved room, the addition was appreciated but the skylights got most of the attention.
Gary's concluded that the skylight market was wide open and he decided to specialize in this market. Word of mouth jump-started his career in skylights. (Skylights by Weston)
In 1991 the tubular product became popular. Gary's answer to round tubular skylights was the innovative SQUARE-FLEX Tubular skylight.
According to owner, Gary Weston, "Skeptics have ended up with as many as nine Square-Flex tubes once they see the remarkable effect they have on interior space."
